Programs Claremont is called the City of Trees and Ph.D.s. The city has won the National Arbor Day Foundation's Tree City USA award for 19 straight years, and Pomona is part of a prestigious consortium known as the Claremont Colleges. The downtown is a mix of hip boutiques and old-school businesses. The historic College Heights Lemon Packing House is now home to the Claremont Art Museum, restaurants, and artists' lofts. A city park is within walking distance of Scripps College and the Botanical Gardens are nearby.

Housing in student dorms is available Sunday evening through Thursday afternoon. The cost is as follows:

1 CM student - $500
Family of 2 - $900
Family of 3:  $1200
Family of 4:  $1500

This includes all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner & BBQ) and dorm room.

Meal tickets are available for those not staying on campus.

Lunch only: (4 meals: M-Th) $60
Lunch & Dinner (7 meals: M-Th) $120
Sunday BBQ (11 - Adult): $15, student(age 3 - 10): $10
